Composer Franz Schubert wrote 600 Lieder, nine symphonies - including the famous “Unfinished Symphony”-, liturgical music, operas, some incidental music, and a large body of chamber and solo piano music.

Schubert received early music training from his father, later his vocal talent was noticed by Antonio Salieri, then Vienna's leading musical authority.

FYI - Schubert taught at his father's school for two years; he also was a music teacher to the family of Count Johann Karl Esterházy.
