K-9 is a action-comedy film (1989) about a police dog character named Jerry Lee. Jerry Lee is mischievous and his playfulness means he doesn't always want to work. The part of Jerry Lee was played by Koton, a Kansas City, Missouri police dog who was killed in the line of duty in 1991.

The plot of the movie K-9 is very similar to the plot of another police-dog movie called Turner and Hooch.
