Composer Alesandro Scarlatti, an Italian Baroque composer famous for his operas and chamber cantatas, is considered the founder of the Neapolitan school of opera. Alessandro was the father of two other composers, Domenico Scarlatti and Pietro Filippo Scarlatti.

Schoenberg developed the twelve tone technique, a way of ensuring that all 12 notes of the chromatic scale are sounded as often as one another in a piece of music.
Franz Schubert b. 1-31-1797; Vienna, Austria

Franz Schubert wrote some 600 Lieder (song), nine symphonies, including the famous “Unfinished Symphony”, liturgical music, operas, some incidental music, and a large body of chamber and solo piano music.
Schubert died at age 31, officially of typhoid fever, though both mercury poisoning and syphilis have been speculated.
