Illustrations of Shakespeare Plays by Henry Fuseli

literature > William Shakespeare > Shakespeare Plays by Henry Fuseli < social studies

Henry Fuseli had a technique of exaggerating the proportions of human bodies by extending the limbs to arbitary points on the canvas, thus using these contorted poses to express his preference for the supernatural. He was friends with William Blake and Mary Wollstonecraft.
