Language is the system of communication using voice, gestures and written symbols to express feeling and thoughts. The language arts in Western education include literature (Latin littera = letter, an element in a writing system), a collection of texts of prose in fiction and non-fiction, drama, and poetry. World literature includes oral traditions of myths, ballads, and folk tales. In written language, the letters or grapheme like an ideograms (China) and hieroglyphics (Egypt), also include numerals and punctuation.
The Creative Process educational literature and language arts posters index features authors, novelists, poets, playwrights, literary styles, grammar, and language arts image resources for classrooms and home schoolers.
